Chapter 432: No Overnight Grudges!
Chapter 432: No Overnight Grudges!
In the Primordial Academy, within the Divine Dawn Pavilion, even from this location, one could hear the parade of curses coming from outside the academy. They cursed Yun Xiao, they cursed Lian Xi, they cursed the ancestors of the Primordial Academy. Their minds were infested with worms as they cursed, tears and snot flowing freely.
“Lian Xi, is Brother Xiao alright?” asked Ah Yao and a group of people gathered outside the Divine Dawn Pavilion, their eyes filled with worry.
“You’re not cursing him?” Lian Xi asked in surprise.
“Curse him for what? Only a fool wouldn’t see that this is just another trick by those descendants of the Three Immortals!”
“It’s by these means they blackened the names of our elders who were originally in the Mystic Zenith Temple, forced them out, and then snatched the temple for themselves,” Ah Yao said indignantly.
“Now, they’re starting to sling mud at my master, using my brother and me,” Lian Xi said, looking down.
“It seems they’re laying the groundwork to take down the entire Primordial Academy,” Ah Yao said, eyes reddening.
“What should we do?”
The other disciples of the Academy Faction were at a loss.
“I just went out to argue with the people outside and got drenched in shit, sigh.”
“If it weren’t for the protective formation, the academy would have been overrun by the angry mob.”
Just as they were out of ideas, a voice suddenly came from within the Divine Dawn Pavilion.
“Lian Xi, come in.”
“You all disperse for now; it’s alright,” Lian Xi told them, before turning back to the Divine Dawn Pavilion.
Yun Xiao was sitting inside the pavilion, opening his eyes.
“You’ve made another breakthrough?” Lian Xi was stunned.
“Just two stages. I’ve reached the Late Saint Wheel Realm, still far behind you,” Yun Xiao said.
“You just stepped into the Saint Wheel realm this morning…”
And now it was just evening. At this rate, would he reach the Five Decays Realm by tomorrow?
She was regarded as the number one talent in the Primordial Ruins, yet even she wanted to say to Yun Xiao, “You’re not human…”
“Give me your hand,” Yun Xiao stood up and said to her.
“Mhm.” Lian Xi nodded, extending her hand towards Yun Xiao and asked, “What for?”
Yun Xiao’s palm pressed against hers, their fingers interlocked tightly.
“It hurts…” Lian Xi frowned. When Yun Xiao released his grip, she looked at her palm and was stunned. There, on her palm, was a blood bat imprint.
And Yun Xiao, shaking his hand, clearly showed his Blood Bat Curse had vanished!
“What are you planning?” Lian Xi asked, bewildered.
“An alibi.” Yun Xiao said.
“Huh?” Lian Xi’s eyes widened as she looked at him.
Yun Xiao glanced outside the Divine Dawn Pavilion and whispered, “It’s getting dark. I’m going for a walk. Don’t follow me.”
“Okay…” As soon as Lian Xi nodded, a white shadow flashed by and disappeared from her sight.
She could only look down, silently contemplating the blood bat curse on her palm.

In the Pathseeker Palace, over 100 disciples of the Pathseeker Society were gathered here. But this time, there was no joy or celebration.
“Sister Wenqian is here.”
A soft call warmed everyone’s hearts.
“Shh, quiet!” Tian Yuxue entered from outside, sealing the door behind her.
Standing by her side was the young mistress of the Jade Immortal Tower, Tang Wenqian. She wore a red dress, her arms crossed, smiling at the younger brothers and sisters of the Three Immortal Lineage.
Tian Yuxue, however, was more serious. “Keep it down, everyone. Seal all the doors and windows tightly. Three Immortals Day is approaching, and we can’t let those from the Academy Faction find any faults with us.”
“Got it, Sister Yuxue!”
“Don’t worry, the whole Primordial Ruins is cursing that murderer. Who has the time to care about us?”
“Sister Yuxue, will everyone get a share?”
The 100 descendants of the Three Immortals gathered together, looking expectantly at Tian Yuxue and Tang Wenqian, their eyes gleaming in the darkness.
Indeed, they had also turned off the lights.
Amidst their eager gazes, Tian Yuxue spoke calmly, “Rest assured, everyone will get a share!”
“Long live Sister Yuxue!”
“Sister Yuxue is the best!”
Their hearts celebrated wildly; had secrecy not been necessary, they likely would have cheered aloud.
“In the past, when Brother Zhixiu was in charge, he would take the lion’s share. He wasn’t as generous as Sister Yuxue…” many thought to themselves.
“Brother, ah.” Tian Yuxue glanced at the three empty seats above, feeling inevitably desolate.
However, she didn’t wallow in sadness for long before telling the crowd, “The person you should be most thankful to is Sister Wenqian. She helped us exchange the low-quality, defective Immortal Jades, which were contributed by those
leeks
, for Mid quality ones.”
“Thank you, Sister Wenqian!”
“May Sister Wenqian live forever!”
Among the 100 gathered, the one of the lowest status was on par with Huyan Pin, and all were future pillars among the descendants of the Three Immortals!
“It had to be Sister Wenqian…”
“Right, otherwise, we’d end up with low-quality, defective immortal jades, which aren’t very useful.”
“These people are so poor, that’s why there are so many inferior products.”
“They only contribute once every two years, which is too lenient. I think we could propose to the Mystic Zenith Temple to make them contribute yearly.”
Their smiles grew wider as they spoke.
“Keep it down! The Academy Faction is watching. If anyone slips up, beware the safety of your entire family,” Tian Yuxue said helplessly. She couldn’t suppress so many people on her own, otherwise, she could have taken a larger share for herself.
“Understood!” All the disciples of the Pathseeker Society crowded around, their eyes fervently fixed on Tian Yuxue.
With ten thousand people paying membership fees for a hundred people to spend, each would get the fees of about a thousand members!
The amount was substantial.
THUD! THUD! THUD!
Tian Yuxue, one after another, pulled out hundreds of golden Bags of Holding from her bosom, piling them onto a jade table.
This was her reason for visiting Tang Wenqian today, not expecting to run into Yun Xiao.
“The amount is the same for everyone, one bag each, enough for everyone. Take your own, no pushing, maintain your dignity. You are descendants of the Three Immortals, not bumpkins from the lower worlds!” Tian Yuxue huffed.
“Yes, yes, yes.” Though the disciples of the Pathseeker Society verbally agreed, they were still afraid of missing out.
“Sister Wenqian, I’m sorry you had to see this,” Tian Yuxue said helplessly to the enchanting woman beside her.
Tang Wenqian smiled gently and said, “A gentleman loves wealth, obtained in a righteous manner, without disgrace.”
“Truly righteous indeed.”
Suddenly, a strange voice rose from among the crowd.
Everyone paused for a moment, then looked in that direction!
They saw a young man in white standing on the jade table, stuffing several Bags of Holding into his bosom.
“Yun Xiao!!!!”
A shriek tore through the air in the Pathseeker Palace.
Hundreds of people widened their eyes, their legs numb as they stared at him! They had no idea how he had appeared there, not even realizing he had been queuing with the crowd!
Tang Wenqian and Tian Yuxue suddenly frowned.
“Scatter! Go!” Tian Yuxue urgently said. Though they were many, she herself was already frightened.
Hundreds of hearts trembled wildly!
“Go?” Yun Xiao raised his head, a hint of blood appearing in his eyes.
HUM!
With a raise of his hand, a burst of azure light suddenly flourished in the dark hall!
WHOOSH! WHOOSH WHOOSH!
It moved like a fish swimming through the sea, passing through each trembling heart!Checkk new 𝒏ovel ch𝒂pters at nov𝒆lbin(.)com
One after another, the talented descendants of the Three Immortals felt a chill in their backs, looked down, and saw blood spurting from their chests.
“Dad, Mom…”
THUD! THUD! THUD!
One by one, young and proud lives fell to the ground, limbs twitching.
“Run! Run for it!” Tian Yuxue screamed heartbreakingly, turning to flee for her life.
With a thunderous boom, a massive violet chessboard emerged, sealing off the entire area like an array, causing the disciples of the Pathseeker Society who collided with it to have their heads burst open on the spot.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
Hundreds of black and white chess pieces plummeted down, leaving over 100 people with fractured skulls and broken spines.
“Stop running. Pose nicely, will you? Killing you is as easy as slaughtering chickens,” the youth’s voice was like that of the Grim Reaper.
“You!” Tian Yuxue, clutching a burning snow jade spear, trembled as she stood at the doorway, blocked by a chessboard barrier.
Her legs shook violently as she turned back, only to see a white shadow weaving through the crowd, holding a violet dragon umbrella in one hand and a three-foot azure blade in the other, strolling amidst the blood and corpses as if on a spring outing.
With a sweep of his sword, a familiar head flew into the air! His umbrella wasn’t meant for combat but to block the blood from staining his white clothes.
This scene was too suave, too fantastical, and too bloody.
The disciples of the Pathseeker Society, who had grown up with Tian Yuxue, scrambled and screamed in terror, so frightened they lost control of their bladders and bowels.
The excitement they had felt when dividing the money was now matched by their misery!
“So, you so-called descendants of the Three Immortals, capable only of dirty deeds, lip service, and deceiving people. When it comes down to fighting, not one of you has the courage.” Yun Xiao’s laughter was their nightmare.
“Don’t kill me, ah…” Someone knelt down, about to kowtow, but was flung away before they could. Not allowed to kowtow, because they couldn’t!
“Stop killing…” Tian Yuxue, tears streaming down her face in horror, knelt down amidst the corpses, her heart pounding wildly.
THUD! THUD! THUD!
With a sweep of his sword, Yun Xiao sent the heads of the last few who had made it to the door flying, crashing against the wall, rolling to Tian Yuxue’s feet.
“Ahhh!” Tian Yuxue jumped up, crying out in agony.
“Why do you have to be so cruel…” she crashed against the chessboard barrier, crying out in despair.
“Cruel?” Yun Xiao shook his head, “I went out shopping today, and everywhere people were saying that I had slaughtered all the disciples of the Pathseeker Society. I couldn’t let myself be wrongly accused, could I?”
“Slaughtered all…” Tian Yuxue trembled and knelt down. Everywhere she looked, familiar heads lay scattered. Indeed, the brothers and sisters she used to play with were all gone, leaving only herself.
“Do you know why I spared you the first time?” Yun Xiao approached her, asking calmly.
“No, I don’t know…” Tian Yuxue’s voice trembled, her soul seemingly frightened away.
“Among all the people in the Pathseeker Society, you were the only one who ever spoke up for me. I’ve always wanted to be a merciful person, trying to kill fewer despicable beings, but I gradually realized I just can’t do it,” Yun Xiao said.
“So, so what now…” Tian Yuxue cried.
“In front of me, no one gets a second chance. Make the most of your time to be reborn!”
With a sweep of his sword, her head flew off as well.
THUD!
As Tian Yuxue lay soft on the ground, Yun Xiao, holding his umbrella and wielding his sword, turned back.
In this blood-stained hall, only one person remained. Huddled in a corner, Tang Wenqian trembled. She wanted to run too, but a fierce beast with black scales was eyeing her beside her!
“Yun Xiao, it’s a-a misunderstanding…” Tang Wenqian’s face was pale, shrinking into the corner, her slender legs shaking uncontrollably.
“No misunderstanding. Today, you called me poor, told me to get lost, and in the end, even reminded me to kill you and loot the Jade Immortal Tower. I remember it all… no overnight grudges, right?” Yun Xiao said with a smile.
His smile was just like Manager Tang’s, all surface, no warmth. He was just that vengeful.
“I was wrong, I am guilty, we have no grudges, please spare me!” Tang Wenqian knelt with a thump, tears streaming down.
“Don’t worry, you won’t die,” Yun Xiao said with a smile.
Hearing this, Tang Wenqian felt as if her body had gone limp, hot tears and cold sweat breaking out simultaneously. “Th-thank you…”
“Don’t mention it, after all, whether I can go from a pauper to a rich man all depends on you now,” Yun Xiao continued with a smile.
