Chapter 340: You Really Have No Class!

Chapter 340: You Really Have No Class!

“Dammit! We’re burning through Immortal Jades!” Blue Star was equally irked!

Grumbling, he suddenly veered the direction of the bronze coffin, transforming into a streak of black light that crashed against the sealed world of the Talisman Emperor.

“Trying to escape?” The Talisman Emperor sneered coldly, solidifying the Sovereign Sigil into an impenetrable wall.

“Last time, we let you escape in your coffin because we were concerned about Ling Chen’s Heavenly Land. You think you can flee again?” the Wick Devil chuckled menacingly.

Just as they thought this, the bronze coffin violently shook within the Sovereign Sigil!

BOOM!

The Sovereign Sigil trembled violently, melting away, while the Talisman Emperor staggered, spewing a mouthful of blood!

“What?” His eyes were chillingly cold. What kind of treasure could be so powerful?

It was tough for him, but even tougher for Yun Xiao.

That single collision had consumed tens of millions of Immortal Jades!

Fortunately, in that instant, the bronze coffin broke free from the Sovereign Sigil, returning to the Radiance Palace. The oppressive weight suddenly lifted, revealing an open sea and sky ahead.

“Are we safe now?” Yun Xiao pondered, hoping that some Immortal Jades remained.

Just as he thought this, a roar came from behind.

“Pale Revenant, stop him!” As the words fell, a figure suddenly appeared in front of the bronze coffin!

Yun Xiao recognized her instantly. She was a girl who looked to be around thirteen or fourteen, similar in appearance to Mu Xiaolong.

Though young, she exuded an extraordinary beauty, especially her skin, pale as the pearls of the deep sea, shimmering with a faint glow.

Dressed in a flowing white gown, she floated in the air, her large eyes and long eyelashes framing a pair of bright eyes filled with the wonders of the world.

At first glance, Yun Xiao was taken aback, never expecting the deep-sea demoness, feared by the Nine Hells’ human race, to possess such a delicate and youthful visage.

“Exile Yun!” With a gentle motion of her jade-like hand, she pressed it against the oncoming bronze coffin.

BOOM!

The ancient bronze coffin, with Yun Xiao inside, barreled forward, smashing through dozens of walls. It collided with countless rocks, shattering them. Yet the young girl, Pale Revenant, standing in its path, remained unscathed despite her seemingly fragile frame.

But in the end, she hastily withdrew her hand and stepped aside, allowing Yun Xiao to pass smoothly.

The coffin and she crossed paths in a fleeting moment.

“What did you see?” As Yun Xiao made his escape, he turned back to gaze at her amid the ruins.

“The Divine Pillar, Heavenly Land, a colossal coffin, endless Immortals…” Pale Revenant’s eyes widened in terror, her pretty face pale with fear.

“Shh.” Yun Xiao placed his finger on his lips, then vanished in the blink of an eye from her sight.

“Pale Revenant!” The Talisman Emperor and the Wick Devil arrived in pursuit, only to watch helplessly as the ancient bronze coffin disappeared into the darkness. Their faces were grim with frustration.

“You let him escape?” the Talisman Emperor asked coldly.

Pale Revenant, regaining her composure, shook her head and said, “That coffin, it burned me.”

She raised her hand to show her palm, now charred and rotting, a stark contrast to her otherwise delicate skin. Yet even as they spoke, her flesh was regenerating, new skin growing visibly.

The Talisman Emperor and the Wick Devil were not surprised by this sight. They did not dwell on Pale Revenant’s actions. After all, they, too, had been marked for death by Yun Xiao.

“This assassination attempt failed. We’re in trouble. He won’t give us a second chance!” the Wick Devil said, his fangs bared and breath fiery.

“Not necessarily,” the Talisman Emperor replied darkly.

“With such a mysterious coffin to protect him, can he be killed?” the Wick Devil asked.

“Not under normal circumstances… We can only hope he has a weakness,” the Talisman Emperor said.

“What weakness?”

“Mercy,” the Talisman Emperor uttered solemnly.

“He doesn’t seem the merciful type,” the Wick Devil disagreed.

“Towards his enemies, no… But towards his own people, perhaps,” the Talisman Emperor observed, “Did you notice? When we arrived, he dispersed his Sword Cultivators and let Mu Dalong escape first.”

“So, you deliberately let Mu Dalong go and sent Qingzan after her?” The Wick Devil’s eyes flickered with a hint of flame. “I must admit, you’re always thinking ahead.”

“We’ll soon find out if his weakness leads to his downfall,” the Talisman Emperor stated.

“Exactly! Since we’ve already burned our bridges, there’s no point in the Nine Hells Conquest Clash if he doesn’t die,” the Wick Devil said gravely.

“I have a feeling that bronze coffin wont protect him many more times. As long as he’s alive, we can keep attacking him for these ten days. He can’t escape the Immortal Asylum anyway,” the Talisman Emperor mused.

This recent showdown had given them a clear understanding of Yun Xiao’s true combat strength.

“In that case, the stance of the Immortal Asylum on this matter is… critical,” the Wick Devil noted.

“There must be some issue with the Immortal Asylum,” the Talisman Emperor suddenly said.

Both the Wick Devil and Pale Revenant turned to him.

“What kind of issue?” the Wick Devil asked.

The Talisman Emperor shook his head. “I don’t know, but I suspect they’re too preoccupied to interfere with our assassination of the Exiled Sword Immortal. We’ve started this, we must finish it swiftly.”

As they spoke, they began to search for Qingzan’s location.

Elsewhere in the Radiance Palace, Yun Xiao emerged from the ancient bronze coffin, which transformed into a small black beast.

“I’m exhausted!” Red Moon howled.

“Do we have enough Immortal Jades?” Yun Xiao asked.

“Not enough to get you through the Fate Ocean Realm, hehe,” Blue Star replied.

“Very funny.”

Trapped in a bit of a predicament, Yun Xiao was slightly annoyed. But not overly so. The unexpected bond he’d formed with the deep-sea corpse demon, Pale Revenant, was a silver lining in this assassination attempt.

“Out of money, we can’t proceed with the original plan for the Fate Ocean Realm. Time to think of something else,” Yun Xiao paused, “If worst comes to worst, I’ll send my Moon Fairy and the War Princess to beg for money.”

He still had the Netherworld Emperor and the Phoenix Empress to exploit.

Just as he said this, Yun Xiao’s expression suddenly turned icy.

“Qingzan…!” His anger flared up on the spot.

“What’s wrong with her?” Blue Star inquired.

Yun Xiao didn’t respond immediately but instead soared off on his Sovereign Sword in a particular direction, showcasing his remarkable speed.

“When I was attacked, I sent my body double and blood slave this way, and they happened to run into Qingzan chasing after Mu Dalong!”

Yun Xiao had escaped so swiftly that only now, in a deserted alleyway, did Qingzan manage to intercept Mu Dalong.

“That woman, truly a nuisance.”

In a corridor at the exit of the Radiance Palace, golden and cyan Sword Auras clashed with a whistling frenzy!

KLANG! KLANG! KLANG!

The constant explosions of swords echoed, destroying nearby corridors, rockeries, and eaves under their rampant fury, leveling the entire alley.

BOOM!

A figure in a light golden dress crashed to the ground! She bore several deep sword wounds, her blood-soaked dress, her disheveled hair, and even her light golden Sword Soul had visible cracks!

CRASH!

A woman in a green dress, her face cold, landed before her. Pointing her cyan Sword Soul at the golden dressed woman, she sneered, “Mu Dalong, once the glorious princess of Sword Ruins for thirty years, and this is all you amount to?”

“Who knows what bargain you struck, what sacrifices you made, to gain your current power?” Mu Dalong rose, unflinching as she faced the green dressed woman.

“It’s your turn to be jealous of me,” Qingzan said with a cold smile. “You once looked down on everyone, always overshadowing me. Now you’re a lonely widow, and I married the Nine Hells Conqueror. You’re in such a sorry state, lost your balance, haven’t you?”

“You’re being ridiculous. I have a fulfilling family. Why would I be jealous of someone like you, a ghost without a family?” Mu Dalong laughed.

SNAP!

Qingzan’s fingers trembled on her sword at those words.Geett the l𝒂test 𝒏𝒐vels on no/v/elbin(.)c/om

“Qingzan, you, representing Sword Cultivators and bowing to Inscription Cultivators, lack the true spirit of the sword. You’ll never truly rule over the Sword Ruins,” Mu Dalong said, shaking her head without a smile.

“Is this your loser’s consolation?” Qingzan’s face was a mask of indifference. She stepped closer, her eyes on Mu Dalong’s bloody wounds. She sighed, “Such a beautiful body, wasted, untouched for over a decade?”

“You really have no class,” Mu Dalong retorted.

“Can class be used to charm a man?” Qingzan sneered coldly. “Or did you, with your seductive wiles, ensnare Yun Xiao while he was young?”

Mu Dalong paused, no longer wishing to engage in this fruitless banter. Ignoring her injuries, she gripped her sword tightly, her eyes resolute, fearless in the face of death.

“Did I hit a nerve? I don’t believe he’s any true Immortal. He’s just a child at heart. You traded your shamelessness to trap a young genius for the Sword Ruins…” Qingzan looked at Mu Dalong with disdain. “What would your deceased husband think, seeing you stoop so low?”

“You!” Mu Dalong’s face turned icy.

“A fortunate thing, indeed,” Qingzan smiled darkly. “He must be quite infatuated with you, after all, he’s just a boy. Even if he’s still alive, do you think he’d die for you if I threatened your life?”

To this, Mu Dalong actually laughed. “Please, stop fantasizing. He’s an Exiled Sword Immortal, not some love-starved child as you imagine. I’m not worthy of his sacrifice, even if I died a thousand times,” she said mirthfully. Her nonchalant attitude only infuriated Qingzan further.

“Blind worship, you’re the one who’s obsessed,” Qingzan spat venomously.

“Stubborn and deluded, that describes your entire family!” Mu Dalong retorted.

“Shut up, you wretch!” Enraged, Qingzan unleashed a furious storm of sword energy, slashing towards Mu Dalong’s head.

At this critical moment of life and death!

WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Two figures suddenly intervened in front of Mu Dalong!

One, a silver figure, astonishingly blocked Qingzan’s sword with their arm!

Qingzan was stunned. She looked closely; one was a youth with fox ears, the other a tall, stunning beauty.

“Moon Fairy, War Princess?” Qingzan couldn’t fathom why these two would appear together, let alone save Mu Dalong.

Not just her, even Mu Dalong, who had resigned herself to death, was baffled.

“What are you two prodigies doing here?” Qingzan asked coldly.

Moon Fairy and War Princess remained silent.

“Get out of my way!” Qingzan’s voice was ice cold. “I need this woman’s life to kill the Exiled Sword Immortal!”

“No need for such trouble,” the War Princess rolled her eyes, pointing behind Qingzan. “He’s here.”

Qingzan was startled! She whirled around. From the darkness, a streak of azure sword light surged forward.
