Chapter 502: Creation Cannot Be Stolen!

Chapter 502: Creation Cannot Be Stolen!

Yun Xiao had just pulled out a jug of wine when Zhao Xuanran held him back, her voice stern, “Don’t tempt me, I really shouldn’t drink.”

“So cautious?” Yun Xiao remarked.

“Of course,” replied Zhao Xuanran.

“Getting a late child really is different,” Yun Xiao joked with a laugh.

Zhao Xuanran paused, then pinched him, glaring, “Kid, what nonsense are you spouting? I’m only 22, in the prime of my youth.”

They laughed together, and amidst the happy atmosphere, Yun Xiao embraced her.

“Destruction will reach here soon, maybe you should hide,” he said softly.

“How many days?” she asked.

“Given the current pace, about half a month,” he replied.

“Where would I go?” Zhao Xuanran bit her lip, a pained expression crossing her face. “I love it here, I don’t want to go anywhere.”

She gazed at the flowers she planted, the small fish she nurtured, and the lanterns she hung. These things, insignificant on the path of immortality, were treasures to her, something she cherished, wanting to protect this place.

Because this was their home…

Yun Xiao took her hand, wanting to persuade her further but eventually gave up.

“Alright,” he said suddenly.

“Alright what?” she asked.

“Half a month,” Yun Xiao stood up, looking at her earnestly. “We’ll protect our home.”

“Don’t feel pressured, if it’s not enough, I’ll just make a run for it in ten days. It doesn’t really matter. Your concerns are what’s important,” Zhao Xuanran said softly.VIssịT n0(v)eL/b(i)(n).𝘤𝑜𝓂 for the best novel reading experience

“I can handle the pressure,” Yun Xiao’s eyes held hers, reluctance clear in his gaze, but still, he had to leave, “I must go now.”

Zhao Xuanran waved him off, half laughing, half crying, “Go on then, you’ll be back in no time. After you slew demons in the Northern Wastelands, it feels like you never returned to Azure Spirit.”

“Indeed…”

Rising too swiftly had its advantages.

Yun Xiao waved his hand, and the Sovereign Sword soared into the sky.

Below him, the tiny abode within Azure Spirit grew smaller and smaller until it vanished from sight. Yet, it remained, forever etched in his heart, haunting his dreams…

As he rode the Sovereign Sword, Yun Xiao glanced back at Azure Spirit, and his heart jolted suddenly.

Abruptly, the world spun wildly.

Endless black smoke shrouded everything before him.

His eyes snapped open!

Before him stood a black coffin—this was a Primordial Coffin!

The dark coffin lay open, and within it rested a woman in a black gown, her eyes closed in profound peace.

Her hands gently rested on her abdomen.

And there, at her belly, surged a dark light, swirling into a black vortex!

Within that vortex, incredibly small, hardly the size of a thumb, curled up like a newly formed embryo, was a figure.

But in that moment, Yun Xiao felt he saw its eyes!

It gazed back at him, mysterious and knowing, smiling enigmatically, and spoke in a voice vast and deep, “Creation cannot be stolen.”

BOOM!

Yun Xiao felt as if he’d been struck by lightning. He gasped for air, feeling as though he were drowning, unable to breathe. But in an instant, everything vanished; he was merely riding his Sovereign Sword after all.

The skies of the Divine Continent were still clear and bright, with blue skies and white clouds.

“Yun Xiao, what’s wrong?” Blue Star asked, puzzled.

At that moment, Yun Xiao’s face was pale, his forehead covered with sweat.

“Is there any movement in that third Primordial Coffin in your belly?” Yun Xiao inquired.

“No,” Blue Star and Red Moon responded in unison.

“Oh…”

Yun Xiao took a deep breath.

“An illusion? Or…” His eyes frosted over, “Is someone, something, using everything I love to threaten me?”

He knew how much Zhao Xuanran cared for this child. He cared too. So, what was it really?

“Perhaps, understanding this third Primordial Coffin will reveal the answer.”

He gritted his teeth, his resolve growing ever more formidable.

“I’ve come too far to lose now, and I can’t afford to.”

Thus, he would risk everything to protect all that he loved!

Primordial Ruins… Half a day later, the chaos here finally ordered itself.

Millions of residents of the ruins, under the guidance of Dean Yu and Shen Cang, finally learned everything about the Three Immortals and Yun Xiao!

The ancient injustice of the Martial Emperor Clan was cleared.

This should have been a time for the masses to celebrate, yet the catastrophe loomed like a fresh sword hung at every throat.

And so, when Yun Xiao arrived, the people fell to their knees before him. “We beseech you, please save our world!”

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Countless people of the Primordial Ruins knelt.

Sorrow etched on every face.

Yun Xiao never wanted to bear all this, to be called a savior. In contrast, saving his own home in Azure Spirit felt more acceptable to his heart. But he knew this was merely sentimentality.

For any decent person, not inherently evil, when such a responsibility fell upon them, seeing those helpless, dim, yearning eyes, suffering untold hardships… who could ignore that?

“With great power comes great responsibility!” He didn’t provide an answer to the people; instead, he beckoned to Lian Xi and said, “Let’s go!”

Promises meant nothing until action was taken.

“Farewell, Heavenly Immortal Yun Xiao!”

These words echoed throughout the Primordial Ruins.

“Yun Xiao!” As the young man in white and Lian Xi approached the Skyruler Sword Vessel, Dean Yu suddenly cried out, her eyes red with emotion.

“Dean Yu. Please speak,” Yun Xiao turned to her.

Dean Yu’s eyes blazed as she said, “I have always wondered what a true Immortal is. I saw the Three Immortals, then the Heavenly Immortal, and witnessed the arrival of a thousand Immortals, but they all left me puzzled… until I saw you at this moment!”

With a voice firm and clear, she declared, “You have given me the answer. You are the true Immortal!”

“True Immortal!”

This phrase burst from the mouths of the people of the ruins, reverberating up to the clouds.

The people realized they had been deceived by the Three Immortals before, causing much trouble for Yun Xiao, and they felt guilty. But now, as the clouds parted to reveal the sun, their reverence grew!

Yun Xiao never expected that one day in this sea of faces at the ruins, he would become a beacon of righteousness. It was a good feeling! He accepted their admiring gazes and, holding Lian Xi’s hand, squeezed into the Skyruler Sword Vessel.

Arbiter Lu had already explained to him how to control the sword vessel.

With a rumble, it soared!

The hopes of the people soared with the vessel, towards the Great Dao Celestial Realm, towards the Celestial Court!

Inside the Skyruler Sword Vessel…

“It’s so cramped!” Lian Xi blushed, her body pressed tightly against Yun Xiao.

There was no helping it; this was a one-man vessel, designed to fit only a large man.

Her petite frame just allowed her to squeeze in with Yun Xiao. Had it been the War Princess, even with force, she wouldn’t have fit.

“Just bear with it.”

Though holding a delicate jade beauty in his arms, Yun Xiao found it uncomfortable too. It was cramped! Not just them, but even the two pets beneath their feet were squeezed together.

It was Blue Star, Red Moon, and the little white tiger.

“What an ugly mess, get off!” the little white tiger’s face was squished, shouting angrily.

“Old mama tiger!” Blue Star scoffed.

“You…” The little white tiger gritted its teeth and then, with a face full of shock, exclaimed, “Something is licking me!”

“Ah!”

And so, within the cramped confines of the one-man Skyruler Sword Vessel, their speed increased with two people and three beasts aboard, eventually soaring to the very ends of the sky.

“Just ahead is the barrier to this mortal plane! Reaching the realm of a True Immortal, one can break through the barrier and ascend to join the ranks of Immortals…” Yun Xiao looked ahead!

At the end of the sky appeared a thick wall of starlight, dazzling and brilliantly luminous.

“Under this barrier, the myriad worlds are like a giant egg,” Yun Xiao concluded, looking down.

The Skyruler Sword Vessel could directly pass through the barrier!

The whole process didn’t require slowing down.

“Sneaking mortals into the Celestial Court is probably also a grave crime, right?” Lian Xi asked.

“Arbiter Lu is no longer with us… So once we’re up there, we just need to figure out how to concoct some identities,” Yun Xiao replied.

“Mhmm!”

As Yun Xiao’s words fell, the Skyruler Sword Vessel, with a whoosh, pierced through the barrier.

HUM!

Yun Xiao suddenly felt lighter.

“Is it the Celestial Palace after we pass through the barrier?” Yun Xiao looked ahead, only to see the way forward filled with murky clouds and fog, the path unclear.

The speed of the Skyruler Sword Vessel was terrifyingly fast, vanishing into the distance in the blink of an eye!

“You better look back,” Lian Xi suddenly said in shock.

Her expression suggested she had seen something unbelievable.

“Look back?” Yun Xiao paused, then turned to look behind.

“Holy…” He too was left breathless.
