143 142. Those Connected Meaningly

After a dinner party between the Demon Crusade Unit and the Treasury Department, Grate was taking a trip to the Treasury Director’s Office.

When we let both squire out of the room, we get a bunch of letters out of the red leather paperwork case.

On a glossy black table, Grate arranged four letters of recommendation.

“It’s a letter of recommendation from the Rossetti Chamber of Commerce regarding the royal castle deal. The sender is the Duke of Gastoni, the Commercial Guild Leader, the Clothing Guild Leader, and the Adventurer Guild Vice Leader – it won’t be you.”

Nearest to Zildo is a letter of recommendation from the Duke of Gastoni.

It is not the Althea of the former Duchess, but the name of his son, the present Duke.

“Why didn’t you send it out before the briefing?

Zildo stops using polite language and asks Grate back faceless.

“If I had let you out, you could have dropped me from my job on the spot… well, I apologize to the people involved. I’ve heard a little bit about it.”

The man sitting across the street doesn’t hide his grump and doesn’t even look at him.

To the appearance of a badly distant former friend, Grate bites his back teeth off.

When I never stood up to my will, I bowed my head deeply.

“Jild, I’m sorry I couldn’t protect your brother. I’m not gonna say forgive me forever.”

“I received that short apology in a letter. Some time after the funeral.”

“I apologize for not attending the funeral.”

“Enough, sit down. Surely you didn’t come to my brother’s funeral. You think I blame you?

To a flat voice, Grate returned to her chair and shifted her gaze to the wall.

To the silence that ensues, give up your nearly closed mouth and open it.

“… had been isolated in the suburbs since the day he returned to the King’s Capital. It wasn’t until eight days later that I could move.”

“Are you sick? I haven’t heard that from anywhere.”

“My body was rotting because of the demon’s slow-acting poison. Multiple crew members were the same, isolated from contagious diseases, and laid down a warrant so that the king’s capital could not be confused.”

“Why didn’t you tell me after disarming?

“I sent out an application for an apology by letter… but it was returned to you (Hakami), Zildo’s mother. He understands it’s a mission, but he wants you to wait to meet his family until he can say he’s calm down. I promised you, Mother.”

“I haven’t heard that either. Mostly, my mother lay down sick immediately after that…”

The man I almost told you to shut his mouth.

Grate has not yet obtained permission from Zildo’s mother.

“Oh. I’ve been on the run till today.”

“It was a mistake to keep my promise to our mother. Not at all, not since college. The same, wordless, unscripted, grat is……!

Grate nods deeply to the man who summoned himself with a squeezing voice.

One thing, there’s no objection.

“Right. If Zildo hadn’t helped me before the exam, I would have graduated. Yeah, it doesn’t change that much.”

As I said, I finally looked straight at the man.

The bright blonde had a mixture of white, amber eyes for a step, darkening the color.

The wrinkles engraved on his face are turning his cheerful face into a nervous appearance.

The change there is what I am carving into my body as well.

“Nevertheless, whatever your budget is, why did you involve Rossetti? It’s not like you.”

“The budget was purely high. I researched the regular small stove at the city well price. It’s the Treasury Department’s job to slap them if they seem to be able to get low. And then you got involved… and you were going to stab the quail at the end.”

“Kugi at the end?

“I thought it was time to leave my job. I thought this would be a good opportunity.”

“In this year? It will be too soon. And what’s a whale?

“Taller, redhead, white, hipster. They were all your preferences, weren’t they?

“What are you talking about…”

The grate lets the red gaze swim subtly.

I won’t deny it, but right now, it’s definitely not the kind of story we’re going to talk about here.

“A young woman close to the youngest son of Scalfalot, famous for making her cry. New president of commerce and no title. For one woman, the Demon Crusade Squad Leader asks for royal treats to get them and prepare Eastern pottery for guests. I called in the captain’s office just for the deliveries, missed my afternoon plans and didn’t come out – that maid was coming to our department and making a scene with a friendly maid.”

“… it’s my downfall. But is Treasury even checking on the maid’s story?

“Naturally. My neck will fly with physics if we make a mistake. It is mixed with about an informant. Mostly, that maid told the story of Scalfalot’s youngest son to our part of the maid and wanted to eat several times. That’s about it I missed… Grate, check the staff and maids in the Demon Crusade Squad building. It’s not just the crew that lowers their ratings.”

“Sorry, I was out of control”

Officials and maids of the Demon Crusade Unit have each come in with identification and a guarantor. Grate trusted it as it was.

My gratitude to Darya preceded me and I lost sight of how I looked from the others.

The squad’s maids didn’t even think about stories about visitor and crew trends in other departments.

“Rumors are easier to erase than to turn. So I instructed the maid on the spot. Properly dirty Chairman Rossetti’s clothes. Instead, I’m gonna ask you nothing about the leak, and you’re gonna have to pull your retirement money. On top of that, I thought Rossetti would distance herself from you if I stabbed ‘Bad Rumors’ and the Quail. Whether you’ve been protesting in a squad or if that woman has some back shield, I’ll be damned if I quit. I didn’t know you could come from the front.”

Grate turned her still red eyes to the man who laughed joyfully at the part where he could somehow come towards him.

“The rumor hasn’t turned because it was your trick… why did you do that to me? My ratings have dropped, and you’re in trouble.”

“… nothing for you alone. Demon Crusade Squad would be a defence necessity, if it gets oblique, the budget will be messy and cumbersome. Because I’m accustomed to resentment as Treasury Manager, and one more thing doesn’t change. Well, you know, when you’re young, you’re on edge.”

“But why go around so much? You should have paid direct attention to me.”

“If I could do that, I wouldn’t!

The voice I threw up was the closest I’ve ever had to being a student.

In retrospect, this man used to be quite mean.

On top of that, I guess I couldn’t talk to him as much as I did, and he was distressed.

As the mask he was wearing fell off, his frustration clearly rises on Zildo’s face.

“By and large, you behave too much to be misunderstood. We’re surrounded by distractions today… don’t just imitate what’s bothering Darira.”

“Don’t be stupid! Think of the years in the first place! Before this, it was a pure thank you for your help, and if you don’t this time, the guys in Finance were willing to go for it. And you’re still making my wife look familiar?

“What are you messing with?! Darira is a cousin and childhood friend. I would normally worry. By and large, I am familiar with the gorgeous friendship of Grate of the High School?

“Such a thing would be a long time ago…”

The end of the story is weak. There are no verses that come to mind at the time.

Slightly unable to make a face, Grate holds her forehead with one hand.

Zildo and his own wife are cousins (cousins). I was close to my relatives and I was so overprotective that I could say my brother.

Speaking of which, even before the marriage, this man was told, ‘If I make Darilla cry, I’ll go slaughter her’.

I didn’t expect you to come here and talk like this.

“But you don’t seem to be able to do it with a grate. Rossetti’s out of hand.”

“That sounds terrible. Did you have the roots that made you retract it?

“No, when I said I was leaving Treasury Manager as an apology, I was stopped laughing”

“Wait, what the hell are you doing? Why didn’t I send this out…”

Unexpectedly, Jildo sniffed at the spilled truth.

“I’ll do what I didn’t, so turn the budget around to the squad, work as Treasurer because you’re still young, and listen to me from you. I asked for a convenience, but the future Demon Crusade Unit was told to eat more, sleep and come home safely. Everything is too good. That woman is good, she can’t read at all.”

“Jild, I don’t think you can read Rossetti…”

“Oh. I was totally connected after I made the loan and even turned it down to the exit route. Who’s behind this?

“I don’t really want to say…”

Grate sighs exaggerated.

Amber’s eyes, staring at this one, narrowed, and then he was distracted.

“I’m not going to fight it now. Though I have a headache considering the upcoming apology leg and the likely attack. No, it might have been easier if you had just let me honestly stop…”

Zildo brings his head to his desk with his hands together. I think I have a pretty heavy headache.

“I can’t deny it. But it turned out to be something that didn’t. Apologies are the cause. I’ll join you.”

“You have to think of a good excuse. So, where was I connected to? Lord Gastoni, after all, or something else?

“‘Connected’. You took my word for it, Zildo?

“Oh. What do you do for a temple contract? I don’t mind.”

The man has answered to the throw, with only his voice.

“Darya Rossetti stands alone”

“… what?

The man with his face up asked back with a dumb voice a beat late.

He’s got a good head spin, and he’s got a brake he doesn’t want to understand.

“Rossetti doesn’t have a back shield. If you insist, Wolframe next door, each guild is just putting together for the benefit of the Chamber of Commerce. I guess she just said what she thought to you. Don’t quit for yourself, tell him to hang in there. I don’t even think about convenience and other shards. I told you to talk to me… I feel sorry for my daughter’s age.”

“You’re a hard woman to understand…”

“After you take the vows, Zildo?

The man flashly tongued at the grinning grat.

“Enough. It’s better than being connected to a lousy man…… immediately put out the Rossetti Chamber of Commerce chairman’s nomination for the title at your house and that of your deputy captain, even here with the deputy director. Apologize, and I’ll take it from Lord Gastoni.”

“You’re acting really fast.”

“Shut up. The grate is just slow. I’ll be connected. I’ll have it taken as soon as I can.”

“… no change of heart.”

Crushed with a grin, but completely ignored.

I thought the distance had shrunk a little, but I guess it’s impossible to talk about it like it used to be.

“From here on out I’m talking to myself…… turn the budget over to the Demon Crusade Squad for the planned amount. Results float this quarter. To the extent that you can enjoy the dried kamas on the expedition, you can suggest it at the next meeting.”

“Thankful solitaire, but at what cost?

“It’s a good red wine, let’s hit it with our hands.”

Now Zildo laughed.

In high school, I replied when I asked Jildo for help when I was in danger of an exam.

In the exact same dialogue, the same expression (kao), Grate learns a slight loneliness.

How many times have you and I been drinking deeply as students, and even after graduation?

We talked about no other love, laughed at each other, joked at each other, quarreled, drunk and made up.

Even if I can’t tilt the glass next door again, the memories remain on my chest.

“The wine Zildo designates is expensive. My wallet is going to be calla.”

“It’s also troublesome to be fooled about the lightness of your wallet. I’ll be next door to the white wine Grato drinks.”

To the man who took his gaze off and said, Grate solidified for a while and broke his face like a boy.
