18 17. Brother

In the room where Darya left, Tobias left his body sloppily behind his chair.

I know I’m sorry about how this happened, but I can’t do it.

Darya was the daughter of Carlo, master of her own magic guide.

The first thing I saw was a green tower workplace.

Returning from the lab at the college, she was wearing a lot of books.

When Carlo introduced himself as his brother, he greeted himself with many books on his back.

Large, silver-framed eyeglasses with red hair in one bundle, concealing green eyes, and a plain dark gray piece.

The glamour around my age was not like, it was some boyish-minded woman.

Then there were several meetings in the workplace, but Dalya was on her way out at the time as an assistant to the lab of a college professor, and she didn’t talk to herself.

I talked a little more about it when she started making waterproof cloths.

Not only in the college, but also in the tower, she began her research, trying to dry slime all over the rooftop and garden, or against a large amount of slime powder.

What a smile it was to be enthusiastic about research like a child.

‘In time, I’ll be resented by Slime,’ he said, teasing her once.

However, as a result of his fight with Slime, Darya, while a teenager, signed up to a commercial guild for a magic guide named Waterproof Cloth and Raincoat and placed a profit contract.

At the time, I still didn’t have a single registered demon guide.

On the other hand, surprised by Darya’s feat, the word brothers caught him somewhere like a toge.

The engagement was sudden.

Rarely did my father and Carlo invite me for a drink the day Darya went to stay at a friend’s house.

In that seat, I asked Carlo, “Why don’t you marry Darya? When they said,” I was just thinking for a few seconds, and I was getting that story.

I’d rather take over after Carlo than be Dahlia’s fiancée, maybe I had that thought.

The next day, Darya was told of it, too.

With Cuiyu (Emerald) ‘s eyes round, she has greeted herself again.

Standing next to me at close range, I realized for the first time how tall she was, almost the same as myself.

Because of the embarrassment and restlessness, I said, “You’re a lot taller.” But she just laughed like she was in trouble.

Fiancée named Darya, I think the terms were good.

The daughter of the Master of Magic Instruments, the daughter of my father’s best friend, his identity is clear.

My personality seems to be mild, similar to Carlo’s, and I’ve never seen my voice rough.

I can be obsessed with the work of a magic conductor, but I did my chores handily.

The appearance is plain, but not bad.

In fact, after the engagement, Darya almost obeyed me if I asked her to do this.

Even if I had ever been asked what it was I had asked for, I had never been told back emotionally.

Tobias secretly relieved himself by dyeing his flashy looking red hair as dark as he hoped.

It makes me the kind of wife who follows me from behind to myself as a brother. That way I can protect myself in front and Darya in the back – it seemed so.

At a time when it was time to file for marriage, my father did not come up in the morning and died as he was.

The Orlando Chamber of Commerce made a lot of noise.

My sleeping mother, my brother, who was just going to another country to buy, myself running into various procedures, the belated Chamber of Commerce of business.

Sometimes Darya interrupted the work of the magic conductor and helped me with various procedures and books.

“She’ll be a good wife,” she said around her, feeling proud of herself.

I want to help Darya someday who helped me, just as much. I wanted to be able to protect her.

One day that gear started going crazy.

Almost a year after Tobias’ father died, this time Darya’s father Carlo fell in a commercial guild and died suddenly as he was.

Carlo was already cold and in pre-funeral treatment when he put himself on the hospital.

Dariya seemed to have cried. Her red eyes were chilled with a handkerchief soaked with water.

Without crying in his arms or spilling words of mourning, he merely performed a light funeral and proceeded.

Something could have gone wrong from there.

I had myself standing somewhere in her. Unilateral wishes were also repeated.

When I asked him to dress calmly, he switched to dressing like a married woman.

He did so if he wanted me to refrain from drinking after the second drink.

When I said I didn’t like the smell of makeup, he even stopped using white powder (which is funny).

Even though I asked her to put together a job like an assistant, she did everything pale for me.

So I just thought that this profit contract would be accepted, even with ex-post consent.

If we talk about the magic guide, that’s quite off the record, but that was it.

All of the magic tools she thinks are like Tobias can’t even imagine, and that often made it seem bitter somewhere.

In retrospect, Darya had never been sweetened, shrugged, or relied upon, just once.

And I noticed. It’s a simple story.

For Darya, I am only a ‘brother’.

Because I am a brother, I was engaged to myself because Carlo, my father and master, told me to.

Perhaps Darya could have been anything but herself.

And that, too, might have happened to me.

Still, I did like it if I said I didn’t like it or not.

There’s not even someone else with each other, I guess we’re getting married like this. I thought it was blurry.

But then, I met Emilia.

A little girl who came in as a receptionist for the Chamber of Commerce a few months before she filed her marriage notice.

Amaya bright honey-colored hair, bright brown eyes.

Makeup put only a little on its white skin, a face that remains unobtrusive to work with.

Bright, fails at work, but always looked hard.

“Master Tobias is amazing at being a magic conductor”

When we first spoke, Emilia said so with those tea eyes shining.

I replied that it was no big deal, and that’s when it ended.

However, when I realized it, I often saw eye to eye with her.

You mustn’t shrink distance from this girl – that’s what I thought every time.

Because I found myself badly attracted.

Emilia happened to be with me when I ate at some of the chambers of commerce.

Blood of nobility, but my mother is in the shade. She says that marriage is not allowed and that she was broken up.

I gave up high school because of my mother’s illness, and since my death, I have lived on my own.

Those who were on the spot said they would support her that they wanted to learn to work hard from now on.

Whether it was sympathy or favor, then Emilia was often called out by the men around her.

I’m not going to hang out with people who call me out, what can I do to refuse, when I was consulted with such a troubled face, I was going to give advice in a position like my brother’s.

Still, I couldn’t help but be aware that I was jealous.

A few days before issuing the marriage notice, Emilia was supposed to talk to me at lunch, but a sudden customer came in. I thought it was bad to renege on my promise, so I invited her to the store for dinner with me.

In the middle of the conversation, Tobias asked Emilia, who said, “I’ve never lived in a rented room in my entire life and I’ve never seen anything called a family home.”

It’s totally my fault that I was confessed crying to Emilia in my new home, and it’s a matter of proposing the opposite as it is.

I know, but no matter how many times I could have gone back, the same thing would have happened.

Emilia was the only woman that Emilia really liked from the bottom of her heart.

As Tobias thought for a long time, a tenuous knock sounded hesitant.

I replied with a word, and a woman with bright honey-colored hair came in beside me.

“Um… excuse me”

“Emilia, Darya’s here, she told me to stay in the back”

When Daria came, Emilia, who was just out of the room, was told by others to stay in the back. I know he came out making sure he left, but I didn’t want him to make the bowl.

“I’m sorry, I’m really worried about you… Mr. Tobias, um… can I ask you what your story was with Mr. Darya?

Bright brown eyes lull, anxiously finding themselves.

“I’m talking about the work of a magic conductor. I’ve already broken my engagement. There’s nothing you care about.”

Tobias answers her with a making smile.

Emilia lay her eyes down and held her hand tightly.

Its arms are lit with gold bracelets of engagement, adorned with red jade medulla (Carnelian) of a color similar to that of one’s own eyes. Formerly Darya’s bracelet, but still Emilia was very happy with it.

“… sorry”

“You have nothing to apologize for.”

“But Mr. Tobias was engaged, and he knew it too, because he liked me”

With his trembling voice, Tobias gently muddles with his fingers the tears that flow through his white cheeks.

“You’re nothing wrong. It’s all bad, it’s me.”

The girl you hugged has a thin, soft body – you absolutely have to protect yourself.

This feeling is true only in this affection.

At the same time, a small, unconscious voice began to appear within.

Darya, I’ve never been anything but your ‘brother’.
