Chapter 36: Song Yi’an (3)
And, there was one more thing.
Um, I am going to be blunt about this. Su Ran organized her thought a little and said, Your young masters technique is very advanced already and way above the level of a regular piano instructor. You should consider hiring professional level instructors to tutor him.
Albeit it might sound like she was trying to resign from this position, but Su Ran was merely telling the truth.
If it was original tutor that was here today, Song Yians skill level probably well exceeded that of the soon-to-be-wedded Ms. Li.
She could tell that the male lead had spent a massive amount of money on nurturing his pair of children and that he could easily afford a professional. So why was he so ugh, casual when it came to piano lessons?
Hearing Su Rans words, Housekeeper Wus look changed a bit.
I dont really understand these things, but that was Madams idea. Madam and Master even argued a little over this particular issue.
Madam?
Meaning the female lead?
Su Ran:
She thought she had an idea based on what she had gleaned from the novel.
Even though the female lead had married the male lead and became Mrs. Song, she was, after all, from a regular family. Some of the ways that she perceived things would never change.
Plus, the female lead had also noticed that her simplicity and unpretentiousness were qualities that were lacking from the girls of the upper-class families and also what attracted the male lead to her. All the more reasons that the female lead wouldnt want to be anything different.
In the female leads mind, hiring a professional pianist to tutor kids that were in their early teens was a tremendous waste of money.
As such, she would only look for common piano tutors from universities or regular musical institutions for her children.
Back in the days, she had used the identical piece to out-perform Miss Su during Madam Songs banquet. That had always been a prideful event in her mind.
She even heard that the Sus had hired an internationally renowned pianist to be Miss Sus instructor. Yet, she was able to out-perform Su Ran from her lessons from an after-school institution because of her own talent and hard work. Ergo, her children would also be able to reach very high levels just from ordinary lessons.
What the female lead didnt know was that
Su Ran never put in a lot of time and effort in piano. She was mediocre at best. Plus, when she was performing for Madam Song, her focus was more on how to attract the male leads attention rather than her own performance. nÊw st𝒐ries at n𝒐/vel/b/i/n(.)co𝒎
As for the female lead, her skill level was average as well. However, with the bar set by Su Ran and the male lead Young Master Song by her side, naturally she had won the standing ovation.
Aye
Su Ran sighed to herself and added, Well then, please tell your Madam that if not a professional pianist, at least look for a professor level one. After all, your young masters level is quite high already.
As soon as she had finished talking, she saw Song Yian walking down the stairs.
Instructor Su, I could tell that youre at a masters level. And I trust that there are a lot I can learn from you. As for Zhining, she is very talented. You would like her if you see her. I trust that she would like Instructor Su a lot too.
If it was because of the little incident at the beginning of the class, then I apologize sincerely for my unrespectful behavior. I hope that Instructor Su would be able to continue to give us lessons. Song Yian looked at Su Ran and said sincerely, even with a little anxiousness in his eyes.
The Songs have different focuses in the training of their two children. Playing the piano was just a skill and a hobby for Song Yian. His main focus was still finance and business management. As for Zhining, she was truly interested in art and music and also very talented.
Zhining wasnt there today. If he had chased away such a good instructor, Song Yian would feel that he had truly let his sister down.
