Chapter 13
Qinghai High School was not big. One afternoon was enough for them to explore the whole school.
However, they did not find any useful clues.
The sun was setting.
The whole school was covered in an orange glow.
Shen Dongqing sat lazily on the edge of the flower bed, picked up a Chinese rose, and tried to put it into her mouth to taste it.
“Pfft.” Shen Dongqing’s face was wrinkled. “It’s bitter.”
Zhou Wenyan took the Chinese rose. “I’ll take you out to eat something delicious.”
Shen Dongqing was excited. “Then we have to find the doll quickly.”
He got to his feet again, full of energy.
Shen Dongqing paced back and forth and suddenly realized that this place looked familiar. He took two steps forward and looked up. It was the rooftop of the education block.
This was where the girl jumped from the rooftop of one of the school’s ghost stories.
“We can’t find it, but we can ask someone else.” Shen Dongqing came up with an idea.
Zhou Wenyan said, “Hmm?”
After the school’s ghost stories were solved, the girl from the rooftop disappeared. Only some blood could be seen in the gaps between the bricks.
Shen Dongqing squatted down and knocked on the stone brick with her finger.
Dong!
Shen Dongqing was very polite. “Hello, are you there?”
There was no response.
Shen Dongqing knocked again.
A small dimple appeared on his cheek. “You don’t need me to invite you out, right?”
The brick that had been knocked on trembled and was slowly pushed up. A pale ghostly hand crawled out from below.
Probably because it was caught and almost bitten by Shen Dongqing, it was under a lot of pressure. It shivered and lay down on the side, not daring to move.
Shen Dongqing asked, “Do you know about dolls?”
The ghost hand thought about it and used its index and middle fingers to knock lightly on the brick.
Shen Dongqing stood up. “Take us there.”
The ghost hand used all five fingers to point at the ground. After making a circle, it wriggled toward the field.
Shen Dongqing followed behind it slowly. Suddenly, he chuckled. “It’s like walking a dog.”
Ghostly Hand: “…”
He felt wronged, but in order not to be eaten, he could only endure it.
Ghosthand brought the two of them to the stadium.
Qinghai High School could be said to be well-developed in all aspects. It had all kinds of facilities, including a running track, a basketball court, a tennis court, and even a swimming pool.
Now that there were no classes in physical education, the whole field was quiet.
Netherclaw stopped at a small path paved with cobblestones. He pulled at the grass beside it and revealed a doll lying inside.
Shen Dongqing walked past Ghost Hand and picked up the doll.
Nobody knew how long the doll had been lying there. Her face was covered in dirt, and her pretty little skirt was in tatters. Only her pair of big eyes were still dazzling.
“Does this count as finding her?” Shen Dongqing pinched the doll and wiped off the mud on its body, revealing its fair skin.
