Chapter 336 – Siyi felt that perhaps being a woman in his next life wouldn’t be half bad. (4)
It was only after she had arrived in the office that after did she realized and broke down on how impossible was the task that Huo Wencheng had left her.
“HF is currently the biggest search engine company. It combined social network, online shopping, logistics, and entertainment all in one.
“The partnership project that we have been following up on did not do too well during the bidding process. We have spent 6 months’ time in preparing for it but, according to words from the inside, we are currently #4 on HF’s list of consideration and we have one month’s time till they make a decision.”
Fan Yu, the head of Strategics explained the situation to Huo ChuChu.
“We have a few strong competitors. The Luo’s had withdrawn but we still have the Gu’s, who are a strong competitor, along with a few other new companies. All of their information is here.”
Fan Yu, too, looked like he was under a lot of pressure.
He knew who Huo ChuChu was. Handing this project over to her meant that there would be no chance of them winning this bid.
As the spoiled daughter of family business, Huo ChuChu had no work experiences. As successful as she was academically, they were all on paper.
How could she possibly turn the table for them?
None of the other team leaders who were extremely competent and experienced were able to catch the attention of HG!
Handing this project over to Huo ChuChu signified that he had already given up on this project.
“If we can partner up with HG, our revenue can be doubled next year and it will also solidify our first step of expanding our businesses overseas.”
Fan Yu felt burdened and unreconciled.
As such, he hoped that this spoiled girl would at least understand the importance of this project to their company and the hard work that their department had sunk into it.
He hoped that she’d at least give it her best and wasn’t just here for the fun of it.
“And we are officially handing this over to you. Good luck.”
Huo ChuChu took over a thick stack of documents and an USB drive from him.
She had never looked as serious and solemn as she did right now.
She figured it would take her at least a week to go through all these documents.
Maybe less if she stay up late into the nights.
As soon as Fan Yu walked out, Huo ChuChu sit down, gritted her teeth, and turned on the computer in front of her.
Her cellphone rang before her chair was even warmed.
Huo ChuChu was a little surprised. She took a look at the caller ID and it was just a string of numbers.
“Hello?”
“Hi, is this Miss Huo? This is Meng Qi, The Director of HF’s China Division. I would like to set up a meeting with you to go over our partnership agreement for next year. Do you have some time?”
Huo ChuChu, “…Partnership agreement?”
Didn’t Fan Yu just said that there were a lot of competitors and the Huo’s were not doing too well?
“Yes. We can go ahead and sign the contract if everything looks good.”
Huo ChuChu, “…. ?!”
Equally surprised was Gu Shishi, who had finally arrived home, dropped off her suitcases, and took a ride over to the art studio to start her work.
She had only taken off half of the vacation time for her wedding. She wanted to save up the other half for the New Year time.
“Shop Manager, I am back to make up for my classes.”
Gu Shishi was a little out of breath.
When the manager saw her, however, she gave her a very… nervous smile.
“Boss Shishi, are you still going to teach classes in person?”
Gu Shishi, “… … Huh?”
“Shop Manager, what did you just call me?”
The manager walked out cheerfully. “Boss, let me take your bag for you. I have already arranged for instructors for the afternoon classes. You can take a break. Or would you like to start with looking at this month’s revenue report?”
Gu Shishi, “? ? ?”
Inside the study, Huo Sishen changed out of his custom casual clothes and put on his three-piece suit.
“Everything’s all set?”
