Chapter 220 – Why couldn’t she ask him today? (1)
There was no such thing as father and son in front of good food. The little male lead, after he had recollected himself, looked at Aunty Yan and then at his own dad in the cellphone and made a split-second decision. He did a very good job applying Yan Shuyu’s trick from just a while earlier. “Daddy, would you like to speak to Aunty Yan?”
Yan Shuyu, being put on the spot all of a sudden, looked up abruptly. Before she could say anything, she heard the boss’s chirpy voice from the phone, “Sure!”
And then, the little male lead couldn’t wait to give the cellphone back to her as quickly as possible. He could barely keep his lips from curling upward as he did that.
Yan Shuyu, who was dumbfounded as she got her phone back, “Meow meow meow?”
The timing was perfect for Zhou Yi. Manager Yang just lifted up the scoop with the shrimp paste inside of it. Zhou Yi, who had just gotten rid of the heavy burden, mimicked his little buddy and held out his little bowl as he said shyly, “I would like some too.”
Yang Zifeng fairly divided the cooked shrimp paste between the two of them and couldn’t help but chuckle. “If you two like, we can place another order of the shrimp paste.”
Although Yang Zifeng was dumbfounded, he saw it clearly. The little young master did that just to have some shrimp paste. Any way he looked at it, the little young master’s style of sacrificing even his blood relatives for just a few bites of food looked just like something that Yan Shuyu would do. Yang Zifeng trusted that the prestigious family’s little young master was definitely not like this before.
He wondered what Boss Zhou thought of this right now. Would he still be okay with letting his son hang out with Yanyan?
Boss Zhou was very calm right now. Even when the person he was chatting with has switched, he still maintained a very comfortable smile. Yan Shuyu quickly recollected herself and chatted happily with him, and the call went on and on.
Manger Yan took up the job of feeding the three of them. Zhang Yuanbao and the little young master were easy to take care of. Surprisingly, they seemed to like the exact same things, or that they were influenced by each other. Yan Shuyu, as an adult, was even easier to take care of. Knowing her for so long, Yang Zifeng had learned that she liked her meats a lot. All he needed to do was to drop some meat into her bowl ,and she wouldn’t look up again.
Now that Yan Shuyu was being taken care of as well and that video chatting with the boss was not interfering with her eating, she thoroughly enjoyed the call and no longer wanted to end it too soon.
The boss also seemed to be quite relaxed tonight and went on chatting with her as she never suggested hanging up the phone. The two of them chatted all the way to the end of dinner.
After everybody was full, Yang Zifeng went over to pay, leaving one adult and two kids at the seat.
Now that hotpot was over, Boss Zhou’s charm has also returned. The two kiddos went docilely over to both sides of Yan Shuyu and passionately started talking to him again. The private chat turned into group chat. Yan Shuyu was no longer only chatting with the boss. She also occasionally chatted with the children next to her. For example, right now she was asking them, “Where do you want to go next?”
The two boys exchanged a look and started mulling it over. The boss, from the other end, casually brought it up, “By the way, there was someone else there other than you?”
“Yeah, Manager Yang,” said Yan Shuyu with a smile. “It was his treat.”
Manager Yang, returning from taking care of the bill, suddenly stopped in his steps. He had a bad feeling all of a sudden for some odd reasons. He was sitting there the entire time. Even if Boss Zhou didn’t know it ahead of time, how would it be possible that he didn’t notice the entire time he was chatting with Yanyan? He only asked about it after dinner was over? Was Boss Zhou really “slow” or that there were other reasons behind it?ALL new 𝒄hapters 𝒐n n𝒐v(𝒆)lbin(.)com
Yang Zifeng felt that there was no way someone as observant as Boss Zhou would be the first case.
