Chapter 172 (2)
Hello Everyone,
I figured that putting our announcements at the start of the chapter would be more visible to our readers than making a separate post. (I’ll be copying this same announcement to every chapter we release this week).
We’ve been seeing a large influx of readers, most likely because of the You’re Beautiful When You Smile live action drama was released (called “Falling Into Your Smile” if you aren’t aware).
And as such we’ve noticed an increase in comments about navigation. I understand that the blog format is not very conducive to reading a story unless you’ve kept up with it from the start. And I’ve gotten rather lazy updating our project pages (it’s quite a tedious thing and the links seem to keep breaking for some reason).
Anyhow, I’ve recently just updated our You’re Beautiful When You Smile project page with links to all the chapters: click here to go to the project page. This should make it easier for users.
Another option is to go to novelupdates.com which automatically links our new chapters for all of our stories. The project page for Beautiful When You Smile is right here. This is what I personally do when reading fan translated novels.
When I find the time I’ll also be updating the other project pages this week as well, but I felt that updating the project page for Smile would help the most amount of people.
Also to address a few things:
(1) for those requesting prev/next chapter buttons, I’m sorry but we have no intention of adding those as we have to add it manually and it’s extremely tedious. Novel Updates already tracks our chapters.
(2) I realize that on mobile, the release schedule is not visible for some reason, but is visible on desktop (I guess it’s just how Blogger decides on rendering widgets). Beautiful When You Smile comes out every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. You’re My Belated Happiness releases on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I just want to remind our readers that we do this for fun and provide the fan translations for free. So I hope everyone can be patient with our schedule. We appreciate your understanding. Please enjoy the next part in the story below.
Thank you.- Somesingman
The next day was the match between ZGDX and Team C.
Among the three LPL teams, CK didn’t have a match today. Before ZGDX vs. Team C began, fans in the China region had already watched in pain as YQCB lost their match to the hands of TAT…… Though they weren’t totally overwhelmed by the Korean team and had hung in the game for 50 minutes, the loss was still hard for the Chinese fans to swallow it nonetheless– —
The deciding point was the last team fight. TAT was down to their last player, Ah Tai, who was retreating. At this moment, a large wave of minions moved up. The weakened Pope stayed at base to clear the minions and let Ai Jia, who had much more of his health, chase after Ah Tai. Ai Jia didn’t give much thought and went after Ah Tai……
He chased him across the whole map. Suddenly, Ah Tai went towards the blue buff arena, disappearing from vision range. Then he clicked the B key to go back– –Ai Jia didn’t notice Ah Tai’s movement and chased right past the blue buff. When he reached TAT’s base after a while, he then discovered that he seemed to have lost Ah Tai……
He was preparing to return while standing in front of TAT’s base.
TAT’s AD respawned right then, Ezreal, with homeguard[1], dashed out casting a flurry of abilities and killed Ai Jia…… YQCB lost their mid while the others were taken down right after they respawned. YQCB was aced!
………………….It was hard for LPL fans to accept a loss in such a careless way– –If only Ai Jia hadn’t gotten sidetracked for a little bit, he could’ve seen the weak Ah Tai in the blue buff arena. Yet he had just gone past there!
If Ah Tai had been killed there, the result of the match would’ve been reversed.
Tong Yao almost had a heart attack while watching the match backstage. The stream she was watching had bullet comments with “? ? ?” which covered her cell phone screen. She was lost for words and finally blurted out: “Damn, retard!”
Old Cat and Old K were behind her and laughed out loud after they realized what Tong Yao was referring to– —
It wasn’t that they didn’t have empathy. It was because TAT was the dominant team in that group, it was almost certain that they would be first in that group. It wasn’t too big of a deal for YQCB to lose to them. As long as YQCB didn’t lose to the other two teams in the group, they could still be in the quarter finals……
After YQCB’s match, there was another match before ZGDX’s match to Team C. Tong Yao, to show her sympathy, took the time to go visit Ai Jia in the break room next door– –Ai Jia sat in a corner quite upset. The first thing he said when he saw Tong Yao: “Weibo has exploded. They told me to take Lee Sin for the next match. They told me to take Lee Sin even though he’s a jungler champion. They said two blind men would be able to appreciate each other.”
……Indeed, Lee Sin is a blind champion.
Hearing Ai Jia’s words, Tong Yao couldn’t stop herself from bursting into laughter, the words of comfort she was planning to say had turned into laughter.
Ai Jia was annoyed by her laughter and he stepped on her foot and said: “You just keep laughing. An hour later, I’ll be waiting to see your ability as a support to divert the attention of those trolls.”
Ai Jia’s words made sense…… Tong Yao couldn’t laugh anymore and stepped on Ai Jia’s foot to get even.
An hour later, Tong Yao nervously sat down in the support’s seat– —
Then she used 43 minutes to prove Ai Jia’s prophecy had unfortunately come true.
After the cram session with Little Fatty last night, Tong Yao’s placement of wards today was much better than yesterday. However, the team they were facing wasn’t the immature wild card team like yesterday, it was the team from the Taiwan region– —
The Taiwan region might not be as well known as LPL, but first of all, they had won the S series championship before which the LPL had never done, and secondly, other than their own league competitions, the Taiwan region played most of their skirmishes with teams from the LPL.
Therefore, both regions knew about each other quite well. They were familiar with each player’s background, play style, and tactics. Even if it were Little Fatty playing today, he still needed to put in some thought into what the best strategy would be. For Tong Yao, it would no doubt be much harder……
Everything went like yesterday– —
In the beginning of the game, ZGDX was doing quite well in all lanes. Five minutes into the game, thanks to Tong Yao’s timely usage of Nami’s ultimate, Lu Sicheng even got a double-kill at bot!
[1]: Homeguard is an effect that is given to champions standing in their fountain/spawn (starting after 20 minutes have elapsed in the game). It gives a huge boost in health and mana regeneration and gives them a 200% movement speed bonus that decays over 8 seconds.
